Meet Elaine

Fiddlehead Bookkeeping’s principal, Elaine Fougere, grew up in Winslow, Maine.  She possesses a masters degree in business and is a certified project manager and QuickBooks accountant.

Elaine first became interested in bookkeeping/ financial services when she joined business networking international in 2012.

Having worked in financial applications support for several very large companies, she wanted to express her entrepreneurial spirit with services she had provided to clients most of her life.

She was a financial analyst and a computer developer with Unum America. She worked as a financial planner with Ameriprise.  She worked closely with other small business consultants to provide small business services to area clients.

In 2013 Elaine began Fiddlehead Bookkeeping. “I especially enjoy helping small business people succeed and grow their business,” Elaine says, “and my clients are from extremely diverse backgrounds and occupations. I work all over mid-coast Maine, from Portland to Camden along the coast, and inland to Waterville though I have accepted a project or two in the Lewiston | Auburn area.”

She adds, “Everything starts with the bookkeeping. In my opinion, the books are the foundation of every business.”

Today, Elaine is a member of the Project Management Institute of Maine.
